Welcome to Our Church!

Gorse Covert Community Church is a new church serving the people of Gorse Covert and surrounding areas.  Our worship services are on Sunday evenings in Gorse Covert Primary School, starting at 6.00 pm with tea/coffee and cakes, followed by a relaxed, informal service, and finishing about 7.30 pm.

Who Are We?

We are part of Birchwood Evangelical Church.  The main services of our parent church are at 10.45am every Sunday at Birchwood Community High School.

Why the new Church in Gorse Covert?

In 2005, we conducted a community survey in Gorse Covert to find out about people's needs and what they thought about church.  We asked: "Why do you think that most people in Gorse Covert don't go to church?".  You said (top answer):  "Because there isn't one!"  Well there is now!

Is Gorse Covert Community Church for me?

We know that there are a lot of people searching.  Some have been attending church before but have stopped going for all sorts of reasons, others have never been to church and are unsure about whether to go or what to do.  You might already be a Christian, you might not.  If you'd like to know more, come along and find out a little more about what it means to know Jesus.  Our services at Gorse Covert are aimed at meeting the needs of people who are unsure and who want to find out more.
